There are many different reasons to send flowers; to thank someone, to wish them a happy Birthday, perhaps they are ill and you want to wish them a speedy recovery. Perhaps you just want to send some flowers to a friend of family member to let them know you care about them.
Finding a reason to send someone flowers isn't the hard part, sometimes choosing which flowers to send, can be. We thought we'd write a handy guide to help you choose the right bouquet to send.
1. Love doesn't always mean red roses. A dozen red roses is a very traditional bouquet to send to someone you love. Whilst beautiful and elegant, they can sometimes look a bit stark on their own. Or if you don't want to send a very obvious romantic gesture, why not choose a bouquet with red roses and other flowers which complement them?
2. Get well soon gifts should be cheerful. With lots of bright flowers and flowers which smell nice. Freesias come in a variety of different colours and have a beautiful scent. You don't want someone who isn't feeling well to have to do too much work, so I would always include a vase with the flower delivery in order to prevent them having to traipse to the shops.
3. Sending flowers as thanks is about surprising the recipient and making an impact. Large, colourful flowers like sunflowers or gerbera would be a good choice.
4. Sending Birthday flowers or for an anniversary should be easier, you are more likely to know the person and what flowers and colours they like. If in doubt, choose neutral tones such as white and peaches and a mixture of roses and lilies will always go down a treat.
